I love my dogs……
and I believe that every dog needs to be sure of what is
required of him in his relationship with you.
He needs to know that you are hearing what he is trying to
communicate to you.
From a young pup into his later years, every dog needs to
have clear guidance and a consistent feedback from his human partner – this is
the basis for a lifetime of the loyalty and enjoyment we have come to expect
from our canine friends.
From the biggest guys on the block to the tiny toys that
people want to pick up and cuddle, all dogs have the same question…….”what is
my job?”
Every dog has a unique way of asking that question and must
be approached as an individual – that is why no hard and fast rules apply to
dog training.
A treat may be just the trick to motivate a dog into some
positive behavior and a clear “no” may be necessary to avoid unpleasant
situations. However your dog is approached will depend on his particular needs
but if his training is respectful, fair and consistent he will respond quickly
and without resentment.
EVERY pet dog should be able to walk nicely on a leash, not
jump on people, sit when asked and NEVER bite…………………can your dog do all these
things?
After working with hundreds of dogs for many years, I feel
that I can offer some insight and assistance in forming this relationship.
